Where Vantage Medicals UK Ltd are instructed to arrange a medical appointment we will instruct a medical expert to write an independent medical legal report which will assist your solicitor in recovering the maximum amount of compensation for you. The medical expert will be asked to comment on injuries in relation to the accident and will conduct the examination on that basis.

An appointment will be made as close to your home address as possible. This is normally within 10 miles. As this is a private examination not all doctors are qualified to carry out medical legal reports which is why there is sometimes a need to travel.

It is important that you attend an appointment arranged for you in order for your claim to proceed. If you cannot attend the scheduled examination please notify us and the medical expert within two working days of the appointment.

Once the examination has taken place the medical expert will prepare the report based on the examination and this will be submitted to your solicitor via Vantage Medicals UK Ltd.

The medical expert will prepare a report in compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules. This means their duty is to the court and without bias.

Please ensure you take identification with you to the appointment such as a driving licence.
